October Daylight Savings Time Ends?

Sunday, October 29th, 2006 at 2am ET. We move the clock back one hour to return to Standard Time.

But this will be the last October we will do this, at least for a while. Or at least until Congress passes a new Act! lol!

In 2005, Congress passed the Energy Act of 2005 which starts Daylight Saving Time one month earlier in the spring and extends it one week later in the fall, beginning in 2007.

"Spring Forward, Fall Back."

Bottom Line - We still get that 1 extra hour of sleep.

Daylight Savings Quote of the week: "It makes for happier, healthier human beings." - Anonymous.

Who actually started Daylight Savings Time? Why do we do it? How does it affect people? What are the proven benefits? Why do some people not like it? Why do some people love it? And why do we always do this at 2am? See here for more: npr.org/story.
