Radio Vibes: Soft Rock 97.1 WASH FM's "Christmas in July" All Day Today

Something that is fun for me to cover each year when it comes to music programming and particulary Christmas music is "How early is too early? When should a commercial FM station begin to play continuous Christmas music? How soon in the late Fall/early Winter can a station start mixing Christmas music into thier formats?"

It's actually become a fun tradition fun for me to listen to the different stations to see who's gonna start this thing off first?

'Soft Rock' 97.1 WASH FM usually launches their exclusive Christmas music from mid-November through Christmas Day, but in recent years they have started a new tradition: "Christmas in July".

Since today is July 25th (the middle of the summer and exactly 5 months until Christmas) they play 24 hours of continuous Christmas music. You can hear basically 24 hours of your favorite Christmas tunes in the middle of the summer. LOL! It's also a sampling of what is to come.

You can listen to WASH FM's "Christmas in July" live stream @: www.washfm.com
Happy Holidays! ;)
