Congressman John Conyers, Jr. JohnConyers, Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee and Dean of the Congressional Black Caucus cbcfinc.org, will host the 22nd Jazz Forum and Concert during the upcoming CBCF'c Annual Legislative Conference, September 6th-9th, at the dcconventioncenter.

Featuring the sensational Regina Carter Quintet reginacarter and the extraordinary Marlon Jordan Quintet marlonjordan with Stephanie & Rachel Jordan stephaniejordan.

The Jazz Forum and Concert are both free and open to the public.

This event is Sponsored In Part By ASCAP the American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers.

The concert will be preceded at 7:00 p.m. by the Jazz Forum entitled, "New Orleans Jazz: A Post Katrina Update." The above artists will be joined on a panel by Jackie Harris, director of the Louis Armstrong Jazz Camp in New Orleans. The discussion will focus on the continuing impact of Hurricane Katrina on New Orleans, the cradle of Jazz. The Forum will be broadcast on wpfw.
