India.Arie Concert at Carter Barron Friday Night
India Arie with Anthony David and Bilal Salaam
Friday, July 21st 7:30 pm (Sold Out Show)
Carter Barron Amphitheater, Wash, DC
I'll keep this one short and sweet, Fam, because it's late! LOL.
We got there shortly after India started. Once again, parking! Packed!
She put on a great show. She is so genuine and real. Very smart and very funny too. Great DC Crowd that showed her goo-gobs of love. People who couldn't get seats seemed to have no problem standing at all and half the time you wanted to get up and dance anyway. India has mad love from her fans!

She did something from every album. Acoustic Soul, Voyage To India and Testimony. A true artist and musician. I had no idea she can play electric guitar and flute too. And like the Leno Tonite Show performance, this lady can dance. I mean, India can move!
Her Set List included, (Please exscuse any mis-titles on my part. There was a song or two before my number 1 here too I heard coming in. Again, Packed Parking.)
* To hear her songs live with a slammin drummer, her backup singers, her bassist, keyboardist, guitar player, etc. - off tha hook. Nothing beats to hear your favorites artists live when they have the skills like this. They can play live all day and night long!

I knew India.Arie was the real deal from Jump Street, but tonight she proved she's the realest dealest! She is such a natural. She is a songbird for days on end. She has songs for days. We saw she has plenty more to come with songs sittin on her shelves. Her latest album is yet another slice of a big pie. She will be around for a long time, "but we already knew that!" I have all of her albums and look forward to everything she ever comes out with. Love her. Good night!
