There are a rare few human beings who are born on this planet that really touch one's soul. Touch one's heart. Make you laugh. Make you cry. Make you say, "Right On!" when you hear them speak and tell that truth. These are people who you keep in your minds. People you keep in your hearts. They don't even have to be doing anything, whether you see them or not or hear from them or not, you just think about them naturally. They feel like family to you. You want to know how they're doing anyhow.
Bernie Mac was one of those people to me. Just a real dude. Real as can be. His comedy was so incredible and creative. He had a unique style. No one could do Bernie Mac except Bernie Mac. He would make me laugh. Make my mom laugh. Make my sister laugh. Make my brother laugh. We would all laugh so much about the truth of his comedy and we shared with each other the jokes he told for days and days via in person, on the phone, email, you name it.
Bernie Mac, Brotha, you will truly be missed.
