Election Day Live Blogging From My Polling Place: LT Says, "I Voted! I Officially 'Baracked' My Vote! I Feel Great! Outstanding!"

My Voting Experience
Election Day
Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

Woke up at 6am. Arrived at my polling place a little after the 7am opening time. About 100 people in front of me and a soon forming 50 to 100 behind me over an hour! As about as swiftly as could be expected under these historic conditions, that is! Had my trusty Walkman with me the whole way to listen in to all the radio stations, AM and FM to hear feedback from the callers and listeners with their experiences at the polls. Had great conversations with the folks around me. Eventually had to take off my headphones because the conversations got so good with people in my line! The weather was overcast and cool yet comfortable. In line with me were African-American Grandparents, Dads, Moms, many brought their children and grandchildren to witness such history in the making.

When I finally go to the voting both after checking in, the feeling I had as I saw Senator Barack Obama and Senator Joe Biden's names on the top of the ballot was incredible. I would say surreal. After I voted, I reviewed my choices three times to make sure that I got it right! Had to make sure I did everything correctly and then had to see that I checked Obama/Biden one more time! LOL! I thought to myself, I have got to make sure this is right! No mistakes! No chance for mistakes!

As I left the polling place, the line of about 50 behind me had grown to a new 50 making a new 100! Can't wait to see the results grow over the day when I get home! All the best to you, Senator Barack Obama and Senator Biden! Pullin' For Ya!
Peace!
~LT
