"The transit agency is rolling out a dramatic new look for Metrobus as part of an overhaul of the region's largest bus system that is intended to attract more riders and improve service. Instead of the current red white and blue exterior, the new design features a red and silver color scheme. The new 60-foot-long buses have a sleeker design than the older, boxy buses and run on compressed natural gas. Metro has bought 22 of the long CNG buses with the new look and will be putting them into service at the end of August. The service routes will be announced next month."

Saw a pic of this in this mornings Express. Looks like this design of the new Metrobuses is based on the style of the MetroRail cars. Sleek. Modern. Futuristic. Price tag: $800,000 per bus, as opposed to $600,000 for a comparable new bus that runs on diesel, officials said.
