Celebrating the Dream, Continuing the Legacy of Reginald F. Lewis

December 7, 2007, marks what would have been Reginald F. Lewis’ 65th birthday. Although Mr. Lewis is no longer with us, his family and friends invite you to join them for a weekend-long celebration of his life and legacy in his home town of Baltimore, Maryland.

The Reginald F. Lewis Celebration Weekend will include the following activities:
Thursday, December 6th
6:00 PM - Miracle in Rwanda: A one woman show featuring Leslie Lewis Sword

This play, featuring Mr. Lewis’ elder daughter, has received rave reviews and will be performed at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum. This event is open to the public. Advance ticket purchase is required.

Friday, December 7th
11:00 AM - Miracle in Rwanda: A one woman show featuring Leslie Lewis Sword

This event is open to the public. Advance ticket purchase is required.

6:00 PM - Reginald F. Lewis 65th Birthday Bash

A black tie party befitting a man of Mr. Lewis’ stature will beheld in his honor. Robert L. Johnson, CEO of The RLJ Companies will be the event's keynote speaker. This event will take place at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum. Admission is By Invitation Only.

Saturday, December 8th
1:00 PM - Remembering Reginald F. Lewis: A Conversation with TLC Beatrice Executives

Former executives of TLC Beatrice International Holdings will share stories about their trailblazing CEO. When Mr. Lewis died in 1993, his company had revenues of $2 billion dollars and was the nation’s largest African American-owned business. This event will take place at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum and is free and open to the public. Registration is required.

6:00 PM - Miracle in Rwanda: A one woman show featuring Leslie Lewis Sword

This event is open to the public. A VIP reception follows the performance. Advance ticket purchase is required.

Sunday, December 9th
6:00 PM - Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture Annual Gala

The gala fundraiser honoring Judge George L. Russell, Jr., Founding Museum Chair, will feature a performance by the legendary Little Richard. This event will be held at the all new Valley Mansion and is open to the public. Advance ticket purchase is required.
