Bring your lawn chairs for a warm summer night of hot Afro-Latin music and sophisticated jazz. Congo-born Ricardo Lemvo and his L.A.-based band Makina Loca combine Latin and African elements from salsa to soukous, with an occasional merengue or Afro-Portuguese excursion. The opening acts are New Orleans jazz sensation Stephanie Jordan and up-and-coming vocalist and Kedar Massenburg's newest protégé, Algebra, who can easily be pop, rock, rap, funk, or crunk, yet she can breathe ballads effortlessly. OUTDOORS ON THE SOUTH PLAZA UNTIL 9 PM.
This is a Free Event so get there early! ;)
