I Want A Big Band Radio Station Back In DC On The FM Side!

I want DC to have a Big Band Radio station again on the FM side. 24-7. 365. We used to have one. We had one on the AM side. But as radio business has happened with buy-outs, syndication, acquisitions, consolidations, etc. Big Band somehow got squeezed out. One justification I actually heard some business execs say was that the audience for it was too old. Are you kidding me? There are some younger folks who always dug Big Band and I am one of em. There are days that go by I just wanna hear some great Big Band. Like the days we used to go to the Barbershop and they had it on the radio. Like the days we would go on a drive with our Grandfathers and they would have it on the car radio. Big Band Swing!

I miss that Big Band sound. If it was announced tomorrow a new Big Band station was coming on the FM side I think it would do well. With all the Baby Boomers living longer and longer and the generation on top of them too, I think the sales dept would make big dough in advertising and client sales easy.

I know we have xmradio now and sirius satellite too but I want it to hear it on the FM side like we used to: FREE! LOL!

I want to hear Bandleaders again in my headphones and stereo again like:
