Sochi Winter Olympics - Thoughts on Opening Ceremonies

Thank God for the 2nd guy that gave us that interesting and engaging discussion on Russia's history from both an insider and outsider's point of view as we saw the amazing visuals. When you think about it, with something as big as The Olympics and the world is watching this, wouldn't it make more sense to employ the help of a Russian Historian, Russian Professor, Author of Russian Affairs or someone to that effect that actually knows Russian History through the ages? Instead NBC went with overly-notes-prepared-ain't-got-a-clue Matt Lauer. That guy that stepped in for 5 minutes dropped more knowledge than Lauer could ever prepare for and actually silenced even him. It's always better to have a knowledgeable professional in the chair, not a divisive, agitating, condescending wannabe.
