Quincy Jones Is Pushing President Obama To Create A New Cabinet-level Position Called Secretary of Arts

Maestro Quincy Jones is pushing President Obama to create a new Cabinet level position called Secretary of Arts. A petition is being circulated on the Web to encourage Obama to establish the department to focus on supporting arts, culture and the humanities.

So far, the Web site, www.petitiononline.com has collected more than 200,000 signatures. Jones has said that he will also push the idea. The "next conversation I have with President Obama is to beg for a secretary of arts, " he said.
