Radio Vibes: Bailey Broadcasting Services Presents Two Radio Specials For King Day & President-elect Barack Obama's Inauguration Day

I was very happy to hear yesterday that Bailey Broadcasting Services will be airing two radio specials this month: King From Atlanta To The Mountaintop and President Barack Obama Hail the Chief Dream Comes Alive.

King From Atlanta To The Mountaintop

Description: (www.eurweb.tv) Historical radio docu-drama from award-winning producer Lee Bailey of Rabercom Bailey Broadcasting. This 3 hour radio special chronicles the life and civil rights movement of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Program airs nationally every January during the MLK, Jr. Holiday. More information at (www.kingprogram.net) & (raberbailey@eurweb.com) & (www.paxstereo.tv).

I can remember so vividly listening to King From Atlanta To The Mountaintop as a teen growing up in DC and not only turning the volume way up so the whole house could hear but also audio cassette recording them on my little stereo radio boom box in the 80s in my bedroom and taking notes.

Listening to this historical radio docu-drama from award-winning producer Lee Bailey of Rabercom Bailey Broadcasting was very influential in boosting my interest in radio as a career and radio production.

I remember I used to pay special attention to how this radio docu-drama was produced, the interviews, the actualities and the excellent narration and voice-overs. I used to keep these audio cassettes in a show box I had on my desk and I can still remember going out to People's Drugstore and purchasing the new blank cassettes every January so I could record this each year on fresh, clean tapes.

I'm looking forward to hearing President Barack Obama Hail the Chief Dream Comes Alive.
