Congratulations Ben's Chili Bowl On Your 50th Anniversary!

Ben's Chili Bowl is a landmark restaurant in Washington, D.C., located at 1213 U Street, next to Lincoln Theatre, in the Shaw neighborhood of northwest D.C, along the U Street Corridor. Ben's opened on Aug. 22, 1958 at the height of "Black Broadway" on U Street.
There will be a gala tonight at the historic Lincoln Theatre followed by a series of weekend events. Here are the details:

"Press conference at 10:30am followed by a "we love you back" street festival with games and activities for the kids, festival snacks, live radio and television broadcasts, and special guests!"
