I never got into the soaps over the years, (OK, except for the time Luke and Laura got married in 81! lol! Who over 38 did not see that episode at least in passing? lol!) but even I knew how loved Angie and Jesse were in the early 80s. I remember reading about Debbie Morgan and Darnell Williams in Ebony, Jet, Right On! Magazine and Black Beat as they seemed to be in almost every issue or on the covers during those years. It is going to be interesting to see what the writers have in store for them with their return.

I've been watching AMC since the elementary school -- I'm lovong them bringing back Ang & Jessie - and a grown up Frankie - boy do I feel old now! Wondering how they explain Jessie - who came back once already as a ghost as I recall.

washingtongardener, cool and interesting! Yes, again, I never got into the soaps aside from Luke and Laura's wedding in 81 and these two, Angie and Jesse. Both of these couples were just so loved, it's like their popularity just brought over alot of people who never even watched soaps much back in the day like me! They became pop culture and more! LOL!
I think I actually ran home one day after school in 7th grade to see an episode of General Hospital! LOL! I can't believe I just said that! LOL! They def had a way of hooking people to come back and tune in again in those days with Luke and Laura and Angie and Jesse.
No shame in that LT - I think we ALL ran home from school that! LOL.
So far on AMC looks like they are trying to rewrite history and now Tad is saying he is not sure if what he saw was Jesse as an Angel or just a dream - I'd call BS! on that. But I want Jesse back so won't argue too hard.
