A Jazzy Saturday - Rosslyn Jazz Festival & Silver Spring Jazz Festival

Violin master Regina Carter, Washington's own Brazilian band Origem, vibraphonist Bobby Hutcherson and singer Kevin Mahagony (appearing with a big name, Baltimore-based "mystery guest" pianist) share the stage Saturday at the 17th annual free Rosslyn Jazz Festival at Gateway Park in Arlington.

Grammy-winning trumpet legend Arturo Sandoval headlines the fourth annual free Silver Spring Jazz Festival outdoors Saturday in downtown Silver Spring. The afternoon kicks off at 2 with a Jazz Ensemble Caravan of local young talent. Starting at 4, the lineup is Dani Cortaza, Frederic Yonnet, Marcus Johnson and Ethel Ennis. Sandoval begins his 90-minute set at 9.
