It was on this day in 1933 that Quincy Delight Jones was born in Chicago, Illinois. A trumpeter and record producer, he collaborated with many major American and French recording artists, including Michael Jackson on Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad, three of the most successful records during the 1970's and 1980's. A musical innovator, in 1991, Quincy Jones received two Grammy Awards for Producer of The Year for Back on the Block. Quincy Jones talents, awards, achievements, projects, works, albums, Television and Film Scores, compositions and soundtracks, his role as Musical Director of Award Shows, contributions, philanthropy, and more go on for days and days on end! He is quite simply, Quincy Jones! Q! The Man!
