It does not disappoint! You can feel the energy, passion, fire and spirit of James Brown, his band, and the live Apollo audience all over this recording. It just immediately takes you there from Track 1 - Introduction to James Brown. There are also 4 Bonus Tracks included.

There are also excellent Liner Notes inside by Harry Weinger and Alan Leeds. Alan Leeds, a former press officer and tour manager for The James Brown Show, currently operates Shelltoe Entertainment, a talent management company. He is the world's leading authority on James Brown discographical and historical information. Alan Leeds is also featured in The Last Miles The Music of Miles Davis 1980 - 1991 A Book by George Cole.
