Will The Arsenio Hall Show Ever Be Released On DVD?

What do you think the reasons are why The Arsenio Hall Show has not been released on DVD yet? I haven't even read any rumblings or mumblings about it on the net hardly anywhere.

My first guess would be all the Music Clearance Rights that would have to be cleared all over again because he had on so many musical guests. My guess would be between the record companies and who now owns what, with all of the variety of artists who came on the show, it would be a hefty price to clear everybody.

I thought the show got too silly and crazy towards its last year or two. Arsenio was just acting crazier and crazier esp the way he would treat his female guests with all the pointing and staring and all, but musically speaking, it seemed just about everybody in the music biz came thru his show during those years (January 1989 to May 1994).

I'd like to see it come out on DVD. I'd say if the announcement was made that The Arsenio Hall Show was coming out on DVD soon, Paramount Televison would make back all its money in pre-orders, sales and then some if that's what they're worried about.

How about a January 3rd, 2009 release date for the box set? With a tie-in to sell each season separately for consumers? That would mark the 20th Anniversary of it's premiere on late night TV.

Things that make me go, hmmmmm.....
