Superman Returns

Looking forward to it. The best site I have seen on the net so far for "all things Superman" is www.supermanhomepage.com.

The 3 Trailers I have seen look promising.

I don't know if Brandon Routh will beat Christopher Reeve's portrayal but we will see.

It seems they have in essence re-started the whole Batman franchise with Batman Begins and it looks like they are doing so with Superman Returns as well.

Oh, did I mention I thought Spiderman was good too? Spidey 2 was good as well but I was ready for someone else rather then Doc Ock as the next villain.

Will Superman Returns live up to all the $250 million dollar hype it took to make it?

We will find out on Wednesday, June 28th.

I've been trying to avoid spoilers for Superman Returns, though it seems they're coming at this with an vague sense of a backstory. After all, it's supposed to center on Superman returning to Earth, and so to Metropolis, after being absent for a few years. The light chatter was that it could be viewed as something to wipe Superman III & IV out of the way while allowing those who want to to think of the earlier films as being part of this history.

With Singer directing I have fairly solid hopes for a good film. The X-Men franchise plummeted in his absence IMHO.

Either way, we'll know in less than a couple weeks.

(I was just taking the random "Next Blog" tour and stumbled across your site, btw.)

Nice to meet you, mike.

Yeah, we will really see indeed what they do with Superman Returns.

The A&E Special last week on the history of Superman over the years since it's creation was very good. It will available on DVD soon.

A lot of footage I never saw before esp on the George Reeves television series. Even behind the scenes stuff on the Chris Reeves film.

I am happy they are incorporating Brando's never before seen footage into this one. I really liked him as Jor-El.

Peace!
